Day by Day
Day 1 Puerto Varas / Rio Puelo
We will drive the first stretch of the Austral Road, which opens a way between the Andes Mountains and the Pacific Ocean. This road is attractive and beautiful by itself. We will have views of the Osorno, Calbuco, Puntiagudo and Yate Volcanoes. Once in the Tagua Tagua Lake we will organize the equipment while we drink a lovely hot chocolate. Once we enter the lake with our kayaks we will have a conversation about safety, rescue and rowing techniques. Then we will start paddling for about 2.5 hours to cross this Andean lake with its enormous stone walls that go deep into the water and an amazing fall that goes directly into the lake. This night we sleep in Domo camp. BL-D
Day 2 Rio Puelo / Puerto Varas
We get up early in the morning surrounded by native forest, have an abundant breakfast and get ready to drive to Caleta Puelche, cross the Estuary in a ferry and visit Alerce Andino National Park with Alerce trees, lakes and rivers to cross. Later on we keep driving to Puerto Varas. B-BL
